AD[]Tech - TENORI-ON

Che i giapponesi siano all'avanguardia nella progettazione di nuove tecnologie è cosa ormai assodata. Guardate con cosa se ne sono venuti fuori adesso. TENORI-ON (letteralmente "Suono sul palmo della mano" è uno strumento musicale inventato dall'artista giapponese Toshio Iwai e prodotto dalla Yamaha. Trovo difficile spiegere a parole di cosa si tratti: è un po un misto tra una Drum Machine, una sintetizzatore ed un videogioco; decisamente affascinante. TENORI-ON sembra essere estremamente intuitivo e spontaneo: non faccio fatica ad immaginarmi un utilizzo di questo strumento "LIVE" ad opera di qualche artista elettronico. L'innovativo "strumento musicale" è stato presentato a Londra il 04/09/2007 con un prezzo consigliato al pubblico di 1'200$; ho trovato una buona presentazione del prodotto finito: dategli una occhiata, ne vale la pena.

World's First TENORI-ON Review

Tenori-on (literally from Japanese "Sound on your Palm") is an electronic musical instrument, designed and created by Japanese artist, Toshio Iwai, in collaboration with Yamaha. It consists of a screen, held in the hands, of a sixteen by sixteen grid of LED switches, any of which can be activated in a number of ways to create an evolving musical soundscape. Toshio Iwai has been using the Tenori-on in live performances. The instrument was launched in London on September 4th, 2007 for a suggested retail price of $1,200. I've found an in depth review of this musical instrument: give it a look, it really worth it!
